🏆 2026 Green Bay Area USBC Senior Masters Wrap-Up

Sunday, February 22 — Village Lanes, Green Bay, WI

The lanes were alive with competition this past Sunday at Village Lanes for the 2026 Green Bay Area USBC Senior Masters! Bowlers age 50 and over from around the region brought their best games for a day full of great bowling and intense match play.

Qualifying Highlights

After four games of scratch qualifying, the field was set for match play. Top performance in qualifying went to:

• Barry Marthaler (De Pere, WI) — 815 total pins to capture the top qualifying seed. 
• Close behind were Ed Sanok (790), Craig Hoppe (788) and Dave Laundrie (788) — all vying for advantageous seeds entering the bracket rounds.

Match Play Excitement

Once the cut was made, single-game match play delivered some exciting head-to-head bowling.

• Marthaler opened strong in his early match play bout, then moved on with steady scoring. 
• Other qualifiers like Dan Ostrenga, Dave Laundrie, and Ed Sanok also posted key wins before bowing out later in the bracket.

Champion — Troy Felsinger

In the title match, Troy Felsinger battled back through the bracket and delivered a clutch performance in the finals to defeat top qualifier Barry Marthaler and become the 2026 Senior Masters Champion! 

Finals Highlights:

• Champion: Troy Felsinger — $350
• Runner-Up: Barry Marthaler — $200
