Green Bay Area USBC Celebrates 2025 Junior Gold Championships Named Tourism Event of the Year

The Green Bay Area USBC is proud to celebrate a major honor for our bowling community, as the 2025 Junior Gold Championships was named the 2025 Tourism Event of the Year at the Discover Green Bay Champions of Hospitality Awards.

This prestigious recognition highlights not only the scale of the event, but also the incredible collaboration and hospitality shown across Northeast Wisconsin.

During the awards reception, a special video message from USBC Deputy Executive Director Jason Overstreet was shared, recognizing the impact of Junior Gold in the Green Bay area. The event brought more than 3,500 youth bowlers and their families to the region, showcasing world-class competition and creating unforgettable experiences both on and off the lanes.

From competition inside some of the area’s premier bowling centers, to the exciting trade show connecting young athletes with stars of the sport, to the unforgettable opening ceremonies at the Resch Center—complete with a custom-built bowling arena—the 2025 Junior Gold Championships delivered a truly one-of-a-kind experience.

The event’s reach extended far beyond Green Bay, impacting communities throughout the Fox Cities, Oshkosh, and Wausau areas, demonstrating the strength and unity of bowling across the region.

We were honored to be represented at the awards by Discover Green Bay partners including Ashwaubenon Bowling Alley and Buzz Social, along with Green Bay Area USBC President Kim Hoffmann and Association Manager Zach Boulanger.

On behalf of the Green Bay Area USBC, we extend a heartfelt thank you to Discover Green Bay, our host centers, volunteers, and the entire community who helped make this event such a success.

We are incredibly proud to have played a role in an event that not only elevated youth bowling, but also showcased our region on a national stage—and we look forward to continuing that momentum as we welcome future championship events back to Northeast Wisconsin.
